In May of 1976, Angelo Dabbraccio at the age of 27 opened his first Pizzeria in the Riverdale area of the Bronx, NY.   He began his legacy with 6 tables and a menu limited to classic cheese with five possible toppings.

In March of 1981, he sold the Bronx location in favor of opening a bigger location in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.  This time with the help of his Brother Salvatore they opened "Capriccio" on Maple Ave.  After 6 years of enjoying popularity of their pizza,  both brothers wanted to move the store closer to their homes in Mahopac.   The store was sold and remains owned and operated by their friend and co-worker, Michael Macchia.

In September 1987, Angelo and Salvatore opened "Cacciatori" in Mahopac, NY.  In this Historical suburb, an hour North of Manhattan, is where the Cacciatori name gained its popularity.  As the town grew to become a small city the store became a recognized landmark by local residents and residents of neighboring towns.  The store was owned and operated until July 13th, 2006 when the reigns were handed to Peter Monteleon, a 16 year veteran pizzaman of Cacciatori's of Mahopac.

In October 1991, with the help of his Son Anthony and the request of customers, Cacciatori streched into Danbury, CT.  Bordering New York, residents of Danbury no longer had to make the trip to Mahopac to get Cacciatori Pizza.  In 1998, Anthony left the store after graduating Berkeley College to pursue a career in Corporate Accounting. In 2000 the store was sold to Mario Pingo, who is a 9 year veteran of the store.

In August 2005, Cacciatori opened another location in Nanuet, NY.  This store is headed by Ernesto Jaurez, who himself is a 17 year veteran and former manager of Cacciatori's of Mahopac.  visit his website at www.cacciatoripizza.com

One day in 2004 during a business trip we accidently stumbled into Newark, DE.   Attracted by the town's familiar feel to our home town in Mahopac, we decided to tour the area and concluded that this was a great place for our pizza.   Excited about this find, Anthony and Gianni both left their positions at their companies to open their own store and continue Dad's legacy.  In June 2006, Cacciatori opens in Newark, Delaware.  Headed by the original founder Angelo and his two sons Anthony and Gianni.
